For Governments
ILSI partners with origin and destination governments to strengthen bilateral labour agreements, consular capacity, and evidence-based migration policy.
Safe labour migration is a shared responsibility between the countries workers leave and the countries they work in. ILSI works with ministries of labour and foreign affairs, consular services and national migration authorities to strengthen the systems that keep workers safe and corridors well governed.
How we work with governments
We support the design and review of bilateral labour agreements, help destination-country missions build consular capacity to respond to worker cases, and provide independent policy advisory grounded in what we see through our membership casework. Our data services give ministries an evidence base — case patterns, corridor risk indicators and reintegration outcomes — without exposing any individual member's personal data.
Ministries, embassies and parliamentary committees can request a briefing from ILSI's policy team on any corridor or thematic area, including our current pilot corridors between Nepal and the GCC states, Malaysia, the Republic of Korea and the United Kingdom.
